Do this to decrease your chances of developing diseases such as Diabetes, Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Heart Disease, etc.

We all know someone, or have known of someone, who suffered from a chronic disease such as Cancer, Heart Disease, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes, Pulmonary Disease, Arthritis, Kidney Disease, Autoimmune Disease, etc.  When I worked in Skilled Nursing Facilities, many of the people suffered from multiple chronic diseases, and many of them were young, some only in their 40’s or 50’s. They had to take multiple medications daily, couldn’t really take care of themselves, and had a poor quality of life due to their poor health.

No one wants to get sick.  We all know of people who are or have been sick, but we never think that it is going to happen to us.  But, what can we do to make sure that it doesn’t?  Chronic diseases all have one thing in common: Chronic Inflammation, which contributes to most degenerative diseases and multiple health problems.  How do you know if you have chronic inflammation?

Do you suffer from any of the following?

  • unexplained weight gain
  • difficulty losing weight
  • digestive problems such as constipation, diarrhea, bloating, gas, indigestion, heartburn, food intolerances
  • food cravings
  • anxiety, depression, emotional problems, quick anger, irritability, hyperactivity
  • difficulty sleeping
  • difficulty concentrating or “brain fog”
  • allergies
  • headaches or migranes
  • asthma, coughs, sinus problems, bad breath
  • PMS
  • infertility
  • chronic fatigue
  • sore muscles, swollen joints, gout
  • low energy

If you answered yes to any of the symptoms above, it is likely that you are suffering from chronic inflammation, possibly caused by overgrowth of a naturally occurring fungus, Candida.  It is estimated that 80% of all Americans suffer with chronic Candida.  Candida releases toxins into the bloodstream, which causes chronic inflammation, eventually leading to multiple health problems and diseases such as the ones mentioned above.

So, you think you or someone you know may have chronic inflammation/Candida, how do you get rid of it?  Diet is one of the most important ways, but it is important to make sure that we are eating the right foods.  But, of course, it is difficult to eat a perfect diet all of the time. Inadequate nutrition, poor cellular immunity and toxic overload all cause the symptoms listed above, which lead to inflammation.  That is why it is so important to regularly cleanse (or detox) the body.  It will remove built up toxins and reset your body. And, a cleanse doesn’t mean a juice cleanse, drinking only shakes, or that you will be starving yourself.  I believe in a gentle whole foods cleanse (with no calorie, fat, carb or point counting involved!) with added tools (such as dry skin brushing or epsom salt baths), and possibly supplements or essential oils.  I recommend doing a cleanse every season as each season targets a specific detox organ. (For information on my seasonal detoxes click here.)

This is especially true for those who have difficulty losing weight.  You may think you have tried everything, but your weight may not have budged just because you have a Candida overgrowth.  And, depending on what you are eating to lose weight, you may actually be putting more toxins into your bloodstream.  Foods, such as Weight Watchers or Medifast, are fake and contain some ingredients that may not be good for us. (not to talk bad about them because it does work for some people, but it is really just a quick fix due to calorie restriction)  Instead of adding more toxins to your body by eating fake food, if you focus on getting rid of the Candida first, it can jumpstart your weight loss AND decrease your chances of developing disease in the future. In addition to changing your diet, you may need to add certain supplements, and possibly even do a natural antifungal treatment.

So, what foods do you need to eat?  And, how do you know what supplements or essential oils will help? I will tell you.  I will be hosting a class for those in the San Diego area on Thursday, September 24h at 6pm in Poway, and a webinar for anyone who can’t attend the class or is not in the San Diego area on Wednesday, September 23rd at 6pm PST.  Even if you aren’t able to attend the webinar at that time, if you sign up, I will still send the recording to you.  There will be a lot of valuable information given in these workshops.  How do you sign up?  Click here, and I will add you to the list.
